Open Chrome Web Store and install the add-on.
Skip to step #5 to configure it.
Open Chrome’s Extensions settings. Go to Main Menu > More Tools > Extensions
Search “https everywhere” and hit enter:
Click “Add to Chrome” button. Click “Add extension” on the confirmation window:
You’ll receive an installation success message:
Configure HTTPS Everywhere extension to ensure all your connections are secure.
Click the add-on icon on the status bar. Enable the option labeled “Encrypt All Sites Eligible”. It should look like this capture:
- Open and install the add-on.
Skip to step #5 to configure it. - If you had issues installing the add-on, follow the manual steps (step #2)
Open Firefox Add-ons
Search “https everywhere” and hit enter:
Click the “Add to Firefox” button and click the “Add” button on the floating window
You’ll get a confirmation message. Click “Okay, got it”
Configure HTTPS Everywhere extension to ensure all your connections are secure.

Open Firefox > Open Menu ( 1 ) > Preferences ( 2 )
Scroll down to the “Network Settings” section and press “Settings” button ( 3 )
Enable checkbox “DNS over HTTPS” ( 4 ) and click the “Ok” button ( 5 )
